First design

Based on what we discussed during our initial meeting, I will get to work on creating the first design. If it concerns a logo design, I always create a few proposals.

Final design

Based on the feedback on the first design, I will implement any changes. During the logo design process, you might want to see a different font or different colors, for example.

Delivery

Once the assignment is approved, I always deliver a high-resolution file. This is suitable for sending to a printer or other processor. If it concerns a logo, I always deliver it in multiple file formats.

What does professional graphic design deliver?

Of the 10,000 people who walk past a restaurant each month, 5% actually enter the restaurant. That's 500 guests who spend an average of €25 per person, which translates to €12,500 in revenue per month. The owner isn't entirely satisfied with the restaurant's appearance and wants to give it a fresh new look. For one of my clients in the events industry, I designed flyers that he had students distribute in the neighborhoods where he's located. How much does it cost to have a logo designed?

A professional logo costs €490 with me. For that price, you get a unique, custom-made design that doesn't exist anywhere else. No template, no clip art, but a logo that matches who you are and what you project.

That price includes 5 rounds of revisions. We will keep going until you are truly enthusiastic, not just satisfied. After approval, I will deliver the logo in PDF, AI, EPS, JPG, and PNG formats, so you can use it everywhere, from business cards to billboards.

A complete corporate identity costs €300 from me, in addition to the logo. The starter package includes everything for €595. The corporate identity covers the design of your business card, digital stationery, envelopes, social media cover photo and profile picture for Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn, and a concise style guide with color codes and usage guidelines.

A corporate identity is more than just a nice color and a font. It is the visual language with which your company presents itself, everywhere and in every format. Consistency in this builds trust, so customers recognize you faster and remember you better.

After delivery, you can get to work with the files independently. Any printer in the Netherlands or abroad can work with the supplied PDF, EPS, and AI formats. If you need something new later that fits within the corporate identity, I am happy to brainstorm with you.

After a thorough intake meeting and a clear briefing, you will usually receive the first designs in your inbox within two weeks. The more precise the briefing, the more focused I can get to work. During the intake, I always ask the questions that other designers skip.

The revision rounds follow. How much time these take depends on how quickly you provide feedback and how close the initial proposal is to the desired result. Most logo projects are completed within about four weeks.

Do you have a hard deadline? Let me know in advance. In most cases, I can take this into account. There is a surcharge for high-speed work, but we always discuss this beforehand so that you won't be faced with any surprises.

A logo is the graphic symbol or wordmark that represents your company. It is the most visible part of your brand identity and the first thing people see. A strong logo is recognizable, timeless, and distinctive.

A corporate identity is the complete visual environment surrounding that logo. Think of colors, fonts, layout principles, and the way these are consistently applied across all communications, from business cards to websites and from brochures to social media.

The difference in practice: a logo without a corporate identity is like a face without personality. It is there, but it does not yet tell a story. Together, the logo and corporate identity create the professional, consistent appearance that inspires confidence in customers and sets you apart from the competition.

An AI logo is generated based on algorithms and existing image banks. At first glance, it often looks reasonable, but it is never truly unique. Other companies can obtain a virtually identical logo using the same tool and similar input. Moreover, ownership rights are often unclear.

A professional logo, created by an experienced designer, is the result of a well-thought-out process. It begins with getting to know your company, your target audience, and your competitors. Only then is a design created that is not only beautiful but also accurate and works in all situations.

You notice the practical difference when using it. An AI logo is not always scalable, does not always work well in black and white, and does not adapt as your company grows. A professional logo is built to work everywhere, now and in ten years' time.

Can I have my existing logo modified?

Yes, that is possible. Whether it is wise depends on the condition of the current logo. Sometimes a small adjustment is enough to make the logo fresher and more modern. In other cases, a new logo is cheaper and more effective than endlessly tinkering with something that is fundamentally wrong.

I always look at what you have first before giving advice. Are source files available, such as an EPS or Illustrator file? Then I can get started right away. If there is only a JPG or PNG, the logo must first be redrawn, which means extra work and therefore extra costs.

You will always receive my honest advice, even if that advice is to leave the logo as it is. I only make adjustments if it truly adds value.

Upon delivery, you will receive the logo in all common file formats: PDF, AI, EPS, JPG, and PNG. I can also supply other formats upon request. The files are suitable for both print and digital use and work with any printer in the Netherlands or abroad.

The ownership rights of the logo transfer fully to you upon payment. You determine how and where you use it, without restrictions or royalties. It is your logo.

In addition to the files, you will also receive the color numbers of your logo, so that you can apply them consistently to all your other communications. If you opt for a complete corporate identity, you will also receive a concise style guide with usage guidelines.

It starts with an intake interview. I will ask you questions about your company, your target audience, your competitors, and the image you want to project. The more I know, the more targeted my approach can be. This conversation usually lasts about half an hour and can easily be conducted online.

After that, I get to work and present the first proposals to you. You provide feedback, after which I adjust the proposals. We will go through a maximum of 5 revision rounds until you are truly enthusiastic. You can always ask questions in the meantime.

Upon final approval, I will deliver the files in various formats, and you will receive the invoice. The entire process typically takes about four weeks, depending on the speed of the feedback rounds.

First, look at the portfolio. Does the designer's style match what you are looking for? Not every designer is good at every type of work. Someone who creates beautiful annual reports is not automatically the best choice for a playful children's logo.

Also, pay attention to the working method. A good designer asks questions before starting to draw. He wants to understand your company, target audience, and competitors. A designer who starts immediately without asking questions is designing for himself, not for you.

Finally, choose someone you feel a connection with. You will be working together for several weeks and need honest feedback to achieve the best result. Trust and good communication are at least as important as technical skill.
